Student Events & Services
student events
Providing opportunities for students to connect with their peers from other schools, explore new interests, and gain valuable skills outside of the classroom was an identified area of need among RVA partner schools. Throughout the school year, we offer student events to enrich the academic and social lives of our students across the state of Wisconsin. Ultimately, offering student events is a key component of our commitment to supporting a well-rounded education for all students in our partner districts.
Youth Leadership Summit is a program designed to empower and equip middle and high school students with the essential leadership skills necessary to succeed in life. This program provides students with the opportunity to connect with other like-minded students and develop lifelong relationships that will foster their growth and development.
This engaging STEM event designed for students who love to build, create, and explore. This hands-on event is for teachers AND students. While the students are led through a day of learning opportunities and activities by the Trees for Tomorrow staff, teachers and advisors will get hands-on guidance through all the resources available to bring Environmental Education alive in their classrooms.
Kids in Action is an exciting and informative event designed to empower students to become advocates for change in their communities. The event takes place at the state capitol and provides an opportunity for students to learn about advocacy and civic engagement.
Student Services
Partners have also requested additional program offerings for students. RVA provides several virtual student services, including EL and GT/Enrichment programs. Offering these services is essential in ensuring that students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed academically and personally even if local districts are unable to provide them.
Language League
EL programs are designed to help non-native English speakers improve their language skills and communicate more effectively in an English-speaking environment. Language League provides live daily instruction, allowing students to virtually join a group of students in a similar grade level and proficiency level.
Kaleidoscope Kids
This enrichment program offers engaging online curriculum and specialized support for students who are identified as gifted or talented in a particular area.
