looking to use RVA’s Digital Curriculum?

What do you need to tackle for a successful online student experience?

FOR EVERYONE

watch curriculum in action

The internet is FULL of options for fantastic freeware available to use. This approach can absolutely work to give students a comprehensive online experience but there are a few ways this can fall short:

1) The content may not be aligned to standards.
2) Teachers are left to build entire units and assessments from scratch.
3) Content may not be updated/current.

When you utilize the curriculum available to you through RVA, none of these are a concern. The content comes completely ready for online learning, it is standards-aligned and it is always current as courses are regularly evaluated and updated. Take a look at what the experience might be for students/teachers with this content.

ADMINISTRATION

curriculum enrollment process overview

In this video, we provide an outline of getting started with your online initiative on a condensed timeline.

Determine Which Teachers Will Use Online Curriculum and Get Them Signed Up

This form is brief and should be completed for every teacher you'd like to have access to a digital course. If you plan to add a large number of teachers (15 or more), please let me know. We can work out a different arrangement rather than completing this form many times.

Decide If You'd Like To Integrate Live Instruction

Live instruction truly enhances virtual learning, even if the meetings aren't daily. Having a space for students to meet "face-to-face" with teachers humanizes the experience. and has an impact on pricing.

Online Learning Policies

It always helps to learn from our peers. Review RVA's Full-Time Virtual Student Handbooks. Or take a look at RVA District Connect's Consortium Handbook/Online Learning Policy Resource Page.

Send The Student Import File

For us to import your students, we need a spreadsheet with the following fields as individual columns: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Username (not email address), Gender, Date of Birth, Grade Level. You can send this as a Google Sheet or Excel file.
*Looking for a template? Feel free to use this and send to me when you're finished.
